Portfolio Overview and Activities

In July 2014, a bidding round was announced for onshore hydrocarbon exploration and production (Pannonian Basin). A total of six exploration blocks have been defined, all of which extend along the Drava and Sava rivers as well as in Eastern Slavonia. Based on those activities, five contracts were signed in 2016, four of which were with the branch of the Canadian company Vermilion Zagreb Exploration d.o.o. and one with INA – Industrija nafte d.d.

At the end of 2018, a new bidding round was announced for seven exploration blocks in the area of central and north-western Croatia, and in 2020 contracts were signed with the companies INA- Industrija nafte d.d., Vermilion Zagreb Exploration d.o.o. and Aspect Croatia Kft.

In 2019, another bidding round was opened for exploration and production activities of the Dinarides, i.e. the rest of the land area of the Republic of Croatia. The bidding round was announced for exploration on four areas in the Karlovac, Lika-Senj, Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties. A contract was signed with the company INA-Industrija nafte d.d. for exploration block DI-14.

  • Exploration block DR –  03; investor INA- Industrija nafte d.d.; contract signed with the Government of Croatia in 03/2020.
